Andy Murray has pulled out of the Brisbane Internationals with continued hip issues. Announcing in an emotional Facebook post, Andy explains that he will be staying in Australia for a few days while he decides whether to stay out there or “fly home to assess what I do next”.
This is the second tournament in recent months that has seen Andy having to bow out of, after his injury during Wimbledon in the Summer of last year. Although continuing his rehab, is still preferring to avoid any surgery on his right hip.
Andy writes “Obviously continuing rehab is one option and giving my hip more time to recover. Surgery is also an option but the chances of a successful outcome are not as I high as I would like which has made this my secondary option and my hope has been to avoid that. However this is something I may have to consider but let’s hope not”.
I’m sure you’ll all join LWHD in wishing Andy all the best.
